What do visual communication and tailoring have in common, besides making you look good?

It's about mixing patterns, playing with colors, developing taste. Just like branding, it's all about presentation and how you want people to see you.

How does your creative side show up in OQ's day-to-day?

I'm constantly looking for inspiration and thinking about how to make the brand better, whether in service or product. I also kind of demand the kids to brainstorm with me. I believe it helps bring out their creativity, which reflects in how they talk and behave with customers.

What's a common misconception about OQ?

That tailoring means only formal or wedding suits. But tailoring is actually run. That's why we're showing more casual pieces too. A lot of people feel intimidated to visit the store unless they're dressed up, but that's not true. Everyone's welcome here. That's why we go with “your friendly neighborhood tailor.” Plus, each of the kids has different styles and personalities so they’ll fit with anyone.

If OQ showed up to a party, who would it be trying to impress?

No one. They'd have fun just being themselves and chilling with people they actually like talking to.

Why are you so obsessed with Snoopy and Peanuts?

Each character has their own personality and I love that. My friends say I'm like Snoopy because I can be super sweet, kinda annoying, and always ready to crack a joke.
